Appointment of New Deputy Chairperson and Group Finance Director

Mr James Ronnie Felitus Peiris and Mr. Ajit Damon Gunewardene, Executive Directors of John Keells Holdings PLC (the “Company”) retired from the Company with effect from 31st December 2017 and accordingly ceased to be directors of the Company and its subsidiary and associate companies as of 31 December 2017.

Mr. Krishan Niraj Jayasekara Balendra and Mr. Joseph Gihan Adisha Cooray, Executive Directors of John Keells Holdings PLC, have been appointed Deputy Chairperson and Group Finance Director respectively with effect from 1 January 2018.

Mr. Susantha Ratnayake, Chairperson will retire from John Keells Holdings PLC effective 31 December 2018. Mr. Balendra will take over as Chairperson and Mr. Cooray as Deputy Chairperson/Group Finance Director with effect from 1 January 2019.
